One of the latest creations to come from SMOK Tech is the innovative Temperature Control Tank or TCT. This product is identical in size and shape to the previously released VCT Pro. What separates these two products is the type of coil that is included. The TCT coils are designed with Ni200 Nickel; these coils are specifically designed to accommodate use with temperature controlled devices. The best way to indentify the TCT tank from the VCT Pro is look for the green O-rings. However, the TCT does come with an additional set of O-rings that are colored in the traditional red and black that can help to add confusion. I recommend sticking with the green rings that help to distinguish that you are using a temperature controlled atomizer! For the cool points if nothing else.
What sets this tank apart from the vast competition that currently exists in the sub-ohm market is that the TCT is capable of withstanding temperatures between 400F – 600F. This makes the TCT the perfect choice for anyone that is using a temperature controlled device. You will find that the dual vertical coils made out of Nickel are equipped with rather large rectangular openings that make wicking an easy task to accomplish. While 5mL is somewhat of a small tank, we found the storage to be sufficient for most vaping practices. Other nice features that can be found on the TCT include 2 extended airflow slots on each side of the tank that help to dramatically increase air flow and vapor production. Other features worth mentioning include a glass drip tip that has adjustable airflow that allows the user to create a serious amount of cloud chasing vapor. If you are interested in purchasing an atomizer to use with your temperature controlled device that is going to give you results that are competitive with using a RDA at a fraction of the cost, I strongly recommend that you give the SMOK TCT serious consideration.
